Isn't that TC letter format too common? If you more or less follow that format elaborating here and there, do you still stand in good stead of being called?

And can you please provide an example of a letter for paralegalling?

That letter is SO not detailed enough.

Your LPC is already detailed on your CV. Work experience needs to be sold more heavily than that.

Good barebones letter but agree with the above writer; it barely scratches the surface...

Hi,

Speaking of covering letters, does anyone know a firm called Brechers? From all of my research its a small west end firm but has a good reputation for commercial property, business law and a good property finance team. Just the kind of work I want to do.

I have to submit a covering letter and cv applicaiton for a TC.

Any helpful tips and advice??

Your training contract application form is your primary personal marketing tool and is often the first contact you will have with decision makers at the firm. Your aim is to provide a comprehensive summary of your career and education that is concise, easy to read, attractive and appropriate to the firm. Spend time getting your application just right as it may be your first and only chance to impress the firm.

Here's a useful guide to your Training Contracts Applications

Definitely elaborate more.

The above letter is an excellent basic template, but for each application you should research the firm and use that research to explain why you want to work for them.

The couple of lines about the Chambers Guide should be a paragraph about the firm's main areas/competencies and how your experience and aspirations relate to them.

Also don't forget any previous office experience (IT, typing, MS Office, filing, et cetera)
