Default Professional Skills Course

I'm a month into my training contract and I have been asked to consider which PSC I would like to attend.

I live and work in Stafford so was looking at probably Birmingham or Liverpool. I'm conbsidering BPP, Altoir and College of Law. I prefer the elective options at BPP and Altoir, although timings of the courses are also a consideration (not so much time of year, more time of day...bit worried about travelling in rush hour!!).

So any experiences and suggestions very welcome.

I was thinking of starting after the summer so the 6 months training before undertaking the client care module wont be a problem.

Im just in process of doing this with Altior at Manchester. I live near Chester so have been getting train into Manchester from Crewe which is fine. The course is at UMIST which is basically across the road from Manchester Picadilly station. It starts at 10am and finishes officially at half five, but i havent had to stay any later than 4.30 so far on any of the modules ive done. The tutors are really helpful and theres plenty of others on the course. The choice of modules is also very good. So I can recommend using Altior. I dont know about any of the other providers though.

Im with College of Law in Manchester.

Very happy with it, the course materials are what you expect from COL and I have heard from other trainees at my firm that there is less "homework" on the COL course. The options might not be as varied as some other providers, but you know what you are getting with COL.

Location in Manchester varies and groups can be as small as 7 or 8.
