Default hearing back

this thread has been on here already. but if we havent heard back, its likely to be no right? i filled in 46 application forms and have 16 rejections so far, that leaves 30 more.....

some of the firms i have applied to are interviewing and have told people about assessment days

i applied in june so way before the deadlines and have heard nothing from:

baker n mckenzie
barlow lyde gilbert
beachcroft
boodle hatfield
charles russell
covington burling
dundass and wilson
field fisher waterhouse
goodman derrick
halliwells
irwin mitchel
kendall freeman
kl gates
manches
mayer brown rowe n maw
nabarro
olswang
pritchard englefield
richards butler
russell cooke
stephenson harwood
white and case
wragge and co
trowers and hamlins
teacher stern selby
berrymans lace mawer
devonshires

and a few more to boot which i cant remember,

i am just hoping they will at least send a reply saying no. or would they expect me to get the message?

filling 46 AF took a lot of hard work and effort, and i have kids and work to0. some needed to be hand written

i also submitted 35 CV and cover letters too.

any views?>

Beachcroft
Trowers & Hamlins
Berrymans

I've heard nothing back from them either - so don't stress. Although Berrymans are interviewing already.

Walker Morris rejected me today - by post too - which was something I wasn't expecting.

Got a letter from Berrymans today - a god damn "thank you - we have received your application" letter. Drove me crazy for the three seconds before I opened it!

Most of those firms listed will let you know either way, it's just a case of waiting.

Unfortunately this process can go on into October, so, hard as it may be, the best thing to do is chill out.

Probably THE most annoying thing a firm can do after, maybe even slightly more annoying than a rejection. At least with an e-mail you see the word 'confirmation' in the subject straight away! Denton Wilde Sapte pulled this on me...awful

Hi I understand that Herbert Smith has been inviting quite a few people this week, so am in the same boat as you... feeling a bit worried now. As to other firms, I heard from K and L Gates this week and so did a few others . I think Baker McKenzie are reviewing now and as to White and Case, not sure cos some people got their TC ages ago like early 2007, but it seems that for most of us, we are still waiting to hear from them.

Default Halliwells

I read someone had a rejection from Halliwells but I haven't heard anything except an acknowledgement of my application. Has anyone else heard or is it if you don't hear then that's it or are we on the maybe pile?
