Since you can't figure it out for yourself your probably better off well out of a proper jurisdiction where you can't do any harm.

Yes, it is funny how people can judge you based on a simple question.

Where such comparisons come from ?

There are few ass..... like this on this forum.

----------------------------------------

It looks like there are about 7 different regions in Australia and each of them has got a different admission system/procedure.

From what I understand in some of these regions you do not need to do a TC.
You need a BA. Then Australian LPC and apply to the court to be enrolled plus get a practice certificate from the law society.

Still not sure what requirements you have to comply with as a UK student etc.

I am litterally weeping into my coffee (mircowave warmed up 3 times today still not drank) at the lack of reasoning and problem solving. I can well believe that the harpies in HR hire people like you just to get back at me.

There is a massive clue at the top of the page in that it says trainee solicitor.co.uk. The site seems to help the work shy complain about hours. It is certainly not part of the australian bar association.

Maybe, and this is just a random wild wacky off the wall though but MAYBE You should try asking on an Australian site where you might get a sensible answer rather than an irate (though justified) tirade?

Did they teach you nothing at primary school? Were you dropped on your head 400 times too many? What is your excuse for this level of sheer public incompetence?

Don't you think this is a bit harsh?

There could easily be someone who knows the answer reading this - surely there is no harm done by asking?

I thought Hellows wanted to run his own practice from the moment he stepped out of law school.

*so confused*

It is entirely justified.

No, there couldn't. Maybe if it were australian trainee solicitor.co.au and maybe if the original writer just sent an email to any australian university that has law on it's books we could have avoided this.

There are people on this forum who are originally from different jurisdictions and know the requirements needed to be admitted so there could be someone who knows at least the basic things Hellows would need to do and then he could do further research from there.

There are quite a lot of Australian lawyers about and they might be looking on this site (like you do) or people who are considering moving there and have looked into it more than Hellows has.

It sounds to me like s/he was asking quite a speculative question so only an overview would be needed anyway.

Quite a lot of posts on here would probably be answered better by other sources (e.g. on what Graduate recruitment wants and so on) or indeed Google (Working in Australia = http://www.totallylegal.com/content/hom ... ies/opp_au) but it is a peer discussion board so people can ask whatever they like on it.

If I don't have anything to contribute to that question, then I don't reply. This board IMO has always been a lot friendlier than other lawyerly ones (!) and I think it would be a shame if that stopped being the case.

Hope everyone is having a good Thursday!!

Thank you TeNosce.

You are right there people on this forum from different jurisdictions. Like me. So if someone has asked me about 'How can I qualify in Poland or Germany' I would have at least explained them where to look and how this looks from my point of view. I would say 20% of people checking this forum are foreign.

Most people on this forum are looking for 'personal replays' from someone who has done something similar, experienced this. So if there was someone who moved to Australia and has done this he could contribute to this topic. On the other hand if you do not know anything about this then just do not post here. And no one asked you to do a research for me.

But now this topic is going of the track. I would suggest that the admin closes this topic as it will not be of use to anyone who looks for the same info as I.

Why people even bother writing replays like this.

PS: I like to have my options open. And the more I know about other jurisdictions, qualifications the more informed decisions I can make. Just because I am asking how it works in Australia it does not mean I am moving there. Or on topic: How do I open a solicitors practice; again it does not mean I am planning to open one next week.

PS: Vicki - Money can buy you everthing. The proplem is, you just need to place it in the right place. If you know what I mean.

Why are you so single minded 'sumoking' ?
