Default cvMailUK - Is it worth applying to those firms ?

Hi. I want to apply to same firms listed in cvMailUK but someone told that those firms consider mostly applications form 2nd and 3rd year law students. I work now as a paralegal and have finished my LPC in 2007.

I know they consider ‘everyone’ but what they do with all those applications is another thing. Their applications are very long and ask soo many ‘smart’ questions :>.

What are the chances they will consider my application? Am I just wasting my time?

this is really simple.

by fair means or foul JUST GET YOURSEF QUALIFIED.

that means pursue every possible avenue. Time is not on your side.

I don't think they do only consider people still at Uni. I know people who went to/ are going to Ashurst, RSRB, NR and BS who were older and from the people I know, that bit of extra experience you have will actually be an advantage. (I presume the other firms are the same as the ones I've listed; I just don't know anyone who is personally) The US firms def. seem to prefer candidates who are not just straight from A Levels, Uni LLB, LPC no breaks - maybe because they are used to people who have done a 1st degree, then law degree as in the US so they are older(only from the people I know who are going - I don't know this for a fact!!)

Is it CVMail where you can just upload your details(address/qualifications etc) and it puts it on for all of them so you just have to answer the questions? If so, even though the questions are long, that'll save loads of time anyway.

I would go for it anyway - at least you will have a chance then, rather than none! Good Luck!
