Default HELP REQUIRED FOR PLR 2

Hi

I have a PLR 2 question that i need help with. The question relates to a landlord and tenant, however the landlord has been harrassing and sending letters and a dead bird to his tenant, is there any criminal proceddings that can be instigated by the tenant, also would there be any effects with the Tenancy, the tenancy was only entered into a few months ago. How should i advise the Tenant.

Your help is very greatful.

You might have had more luck if you had disguised this question and hadn't said it was for your PLR2.

But seriously, you need to do this yourself. I have to perform multi issue research tasks everyday - you must learn to it now.

Its got to be on LexisNexis - you would not be set a task that had no answer.

I disagree Sumo, the mere fact that Vicki got there first does not preclude the rest of us from expressing our opinions on the original post/poster...

Matt1009 - If I were you I would seriously consider advising my client to instruct a different solicitor; come on, how do you expect to get on in this job without doing some work for yourself?

Forgive my ignorance but what is PLR 2?

And I thought Sumoking was going to blow his top then what a shame!

Having scrolled through and geared up for a monumental lambasting the unfortunately quite pleasant lady on the other end of my phone came back from taking instructions.

Sadly she decided to play it ‘hardball’ and thus vicariously got the majority of my ire and we now have a tribunal situation.

On the upside we were always going to win and this way we will make more cash so everyone is a winner.

And by everyone I mean me.

Lonewolf if you need a typically knee jerk sumo rant see the 'catch 22' post.

PLR 2 = Practical Legal Research 2 = a record card and memo. Part of the skills course.

I was quite looking forward to a Sumoking rant too!!! I'm sure the next one will be along soon though

I suppose its futile pointing out that posting that is a HUGE breach of the assessment rules (in accordance with the Law School's Unfair Practices Regulations). If BPP were to find out who you are they are obligated to throw you off the LPC. This will of course put an end to any future legal career.

But I guess if you actually posted that all this will probably be lost on you.

If the OP's name is really Matt, he is a prize idiot.

Actually, this MUST be a troll. It has to be.
