Default Too late for a training contract?

I passed the LPC in summer 2006, but then moved abroad. We are now back in the UK. Am I too late to take up a training contract or will I have to resit LPC? I can't find any information on a deadline. Thank you.

you don't have to do the LPC again because, it doesn't go 'stale' like the LLB (i.e. you have to do the LPC within 7 years of passing the LLB)

just did a quick google and lawcareers had this (cut and pasted bit - that is consistent with my understanding of how things still stand ) - however, maybe you want to confirm via SRA.

    Dear Oracle...
I completed the LPC in 1999 and have been paralegaling ever since. I have applied for training contracts but am yet to be successful. How long does my LPC qualification last before I have to take a refresher course?

    The Oracle Replies
Unlike the old Law Society finals there is no time limit on the validity of an LPC pass. As the rules stand, you are permitted to take up a training contract at any point in the future.
Realistically, however, there will be some sort of depreciation of the value of your qualifications in the minds of many recruiters. They will inevitably ask why you haven’t already secured a contract, and whether you have a lack of ability or drive. While this may be unfair it should be recognised and addressed. Explain the delay as best you can, demonstrate what valuable experience your paralegal work has provided you with, and show how it makes you a more desirable commodity than raw recruits fresh from law school. As we've said before, you need to go that extra mile to stand out form the crowd.
