The panda case is not so much a case as a stupid favour incurred by mrs sumo.

It has been caused by something like this.

Idiot scientist 1: "went on holiday inane sprog 1 left teddy (some sort of panda) in hotel"

Mrs sumo : "has the hotel given it back"

idiot scientist 1 "no said they can't find it, inane sprog 1 not happy will not sleep without teddy, (insert random sob story) can't possibly have a child that is not over indulged and whose every whim is not catered to that won't hamper them in real life"

Mrs sumo "The Sumoking, as you will know if you ever answered my phone, can shout down the phone for 3 hours without taking a breath I?ll get him to sort it out"

Idiot scientist "but lawyers are expensive"

Mrs sumo "oh don't worry he'll do it as a favour or I?ll only let him eat organic veg, you know how much he likes his raw meat"

Idiot scientist "yes I recall the turkey episode it made me quite ill"

Sumoking on finding out "$%*&!!!! Does anyone know a good divorce lawyer?"

Sumoking "hello bewildered hotel manager I am a very angry lawyer from the UK I have been asked to sue you for the return of a teddy bear that is apparently vital but was still forgotten. Yes it is ludicrous but a great quantity of meat and conjugal rights are at stake so send me a tenner and we will call it quits"

Manager " okay cheque is in the post"

Sumoking now has to go to toy shop to buy stupid panda teddy. and already hates pandas. Morning wasted. Lunch wasted. Stupidity not yet eradicated.

Counsel?s advice is unrelated and ruins a court timetable.

As far as to foul mood is concerned that is my default position. Wake up angry go to sleep angry.

I just want to rant about the debt i'm going to incur taking the diploma in legal practise. it's going to cost £5,000 not to mention £3,000 for accomodation and everything else on top of it.

Im over £20K in debt already and this madness has to bloody stop.

over £30k in debt and I dont even have a TC lined up. Am i mad?

is mutually assured destruction i think you mean plain old mad (mad is my initals backwards hillariously enough, perhaps it is a sign)

If you can afford the debt it is fine, can't have capitalisim without capital, if not then you need to slash outgoings budget beg borrow, steal and get parents to re mortgage.

Well, my initials are GOD, no rearrangement needed, so if mutually assured destruction is the interpretation, then it must have been entirely intentional to suggest the same in the first place as GOD is infallible and therefore so am I, since we are one and the same.

PS Forgot to add, welcome to the fold of mad, skint and broke trainees and law stoodes, legal bee. Debt seems to be pretty much universal, so consider it par for the course and a ritual of passage to, and during, your TC.

(I'd still be there but I married a rich bloke. It is to be recommended, but you can find yer own one since I don't like to share. )

to be fair

you can scrimp and save (or simply not have time to spend, see the sun, enjoy air) and have some mental woman trick you into shaking up with her so she can spend all your cash on frivolous nonsense.

so debt may well be the lesser evil
