Does anyone feel that the small amount of questions on the Allen & Overy application is testament to how much emphasis they put on grades?

yes. unless u have top a-levels, 2:1s THROUGHOUT uni, forget about them.

I'm definitely not disagreeing with you but can I just ask how you came to that conclusion? Did you apply there/ have a friend who applied?

I use to work there. Trust me on this one, without the grades forget about them or any other MC firm.
