I have just received notice that I have been rejected for a summer placement at the above firm. However, it did state that my application will still be considered for a TC position.
In your opinion do you think my application will be genuinely considered, or is it a slow painful death for me??
but i have never heard of anyone not enjoying working for DWF and i know a partner there who bitch slapped audi into changing her hire purchase agreement for her TT (she also owes me for stolen birthday cake!) so it is not because they a deluded hippies.
so i think it is at least worth pushing your case and as del says talking to HR.
I emailed HR guy yesterday and he got back within the hour, he said my application is in the running still, and will hear shortlly after the deadline, 31st July. Keep your fingers crossed for me
Hi, I had a phone interview for DWF last year for the vac scheme and wasn't successful, but then got invited to a TC interview later in the year and got to the final stage. It will be considered, so all is not lost.
it's quite relaxed (in fact I really enjoyed it), with 2 people. i think it was hr and a partner/senior associate. they go through your application, ask some general motivation questions.
I have been told... that the 1st round interview will comprise of a 45 minute interview based mainly on your application and why DWF, why law etc. Then there is a short verbal reasoning test.
I am looking forward to the interview, but nervous. What day are you being interviewed??
