Berwin Leighton Paisner has set up an 11-partner criminal regulatory defence group to deal with financial and regulatory investigations and prosecutions. The 20-strong group was launched at the beginning of the month in response to the increasingly proactive stance of regulators such as the Serious Fraud Office (SFO), the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and the European Commission.
