Job Description The VMO (Vendor Management Office) Contract Manager (CM) focuses on the contractual performance of the Service Providers (Suppliers) on a day-to-day basis. CM provides advice and guidance on the contractual terms and requirements with regard to the operational scope and to Significant Changes and New Services within the range of the purchased Products / Services. CM owns the contract and is the key player for commercial matters, interpretation, concerns and issues, and works on contract changes and modifications. CM assists Procurement with the preparation for negotiations with Suppliers. Monitors Supplier contractual performance of obligations and services. Manage issues and disputes through resolution. Responsibilities Using the ING VMO IT created operations manuals, perform all duties and responsibilities normally associated with professional contract management Own and manage the contract lifecycle, processes, and procedures, end to end Keep contract status within the system current and ready for audit Provide pro-active contractual advice, guidance and support to internal clients and/or MSP Develop a professional working relationship with suppliers and internal client/MSP Assist Procurement with review, preparation, and where applicable, negotiation of new contract and/or contract changes Document contract changes, including amendments, and ensure their compliance with contractual terms Provide contract interpretation and education to internal client/MSP(s),and internal ING organization Coordinate / facilitate contract change management process Evaluate the impact of proposed changes (both Procedural and Significant) on contracts, especially scope, performance (Service Levels) and cost Facilitate / resolve contract issues and disputes Assist Procurement with review of supplier proposals on Significant Changes and New Services Prepare and participate in contract audits Help in finding solutions to service related issues whilst preserving the commercial integrity of the contracts Work with Supplier Management in developing professional supplier relationships Assist Procurement with preparation and review of RFPs and responses Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Corporate level contract obligations acting as a coordination point for client Manage Supplier performance tracking, measurement, and reporting for Client Manage and escalate Supplier issues related to supplier account management or supplier project staff Liaise with financial team for financial reporting matters Manage disputes through formal dispute resolution channels and establishes such channels where necessary Coordinate involvement of Client legal counsel as required Assist internal client with forecasting demand Assist with the preparation of or provide management reports as required Continuous improvement of contract performance and supplier relations Organisational Context Contract management is one of the three teams that make Vendor Management Office. Together with Procurement and supplier management our mission is to manage the total relationship with a vendor from a contractual perspective. In the procurement team buyers ensure the negotiations of well balanced contracts. Supplier management outlines the total relationship between a vendor and ING and last but not least the contract managers manage the contracts throughout the lifetime of the contract. Although VMO consists of three pillars with each their expertise we act and work as one team to provide the best service to our clients within ING. Desired Skills/Experience Bachelor's degree preferred an equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered. 5+ years experience in contract management 7+ years general business or procurement experience Experience in managing IT and/or Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) contracts and relationships either as a Client or a Supplier Legal or paralegal qualification/experience desirable Financial Services industry experience a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications Personal Profile Proven ability to work independently as well as a team player Negotiation experience with third parties English communication skills (written and verbal) Excellent administrative skills Salary & Benefits We offer you a large range of future prospects within the ING group, an attractive wage with extralegal advantages, and an autonomous function allowing initiative.
