Job ID: 867F040B-938E-4708-BFD9-D44C2CB5E8E6 Role Purpose/Accountabilities
. Prepare all documents required for filing and prosecuting US, International and foreign patent applications.
. Filing documents in the US Patent and Trademark Office electronically and by certification procedures
. Independently prepare all correspondence during prosecution of patent applications for attorney review
. Assist with special projects and other assignments as requested by the attorneys and agents
. Provide backup docketing support for docket database

Accountabilities
. Independently ensure proper procedures are followed in filing patent documents with the various patent offices worldwdide
. For all official patent filings, independently ensure that the information and document format are accurate
. Independently ensure the timely filing of all documents required for international and US patent filings

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Critical knowledge
. Experience with patent document filing is a must
. Familiarity and experience with patent docket administration is a must
. Excellent organizational and communication skills
Critical experience
. 3 - 5 years experience
Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities
. Bachelors Degree and Paralegal Certification or equivalent significant experience in a related field

. Must be analytical, detail oriented, able to work independently, exercise sound judgment and problem solving, multi-task, and work well under pressure in a team environment
. Ability to maintain confidential information in an appropriate, professional manner is critical
. Demonstrated commitment and track record of providing excellent service
. Experience and proficiency in database management and software proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required
. Has ability to exercise good judgment and discretion and to handle a demanding case load
