Default Advise on Prospects in UK

I am presently working for a Media Company in India as a Deputy Manager Legal. I have around 8 years of legal work experience which includes 4 years in active litigation both on the civil and criminal side and 4 years of corporate experience as an in house counsel. I am LLM - from CCLS, Queen Mary , University of London , UK. in Commercial and Corporate law and have passed QLTT exam and will register myself as a Solicitor with SRA shortly. I am in a position to obtain a working visa irrespective of a job offer under TEIR 1 regulations.

I wish to know whether I have any prospects with my qualifications and work experience in UK.

I used to work with a guy who had been chief advocate at the pakistan telecomunications authority, similar back story to yours, similar if slightly more experience and he has now set up on his own.

Is doing quite well.

He was quiet respected in the local pakistani, and indian punjabi community and was able to pull in some business which helped him to bolster his position.

If you have family or friends over hear it may be worth sounding them out on whether they have work they can send you and whether it is the stuff you want. You then have more to bring to the table as it were in any interview.

I suggest that you consider a LPC.
